While Christmas has a tradition of drawing the biggest music stars into a festive mood (check out our list of Christmas music releases for 2014) it is not often that you can find so many on one album. But Dave Koz appears to have the midas touch when it comes to attracting big names with his newest Christmas record ‘The 25th of December’ awash with musical celebrities. In a career stretching back to 1990 this new album will be Koz’s fifth in honour of Christmas with his trademark saxophone offering a guiding light throughout. But it’s just not instrumental highlights as Koz is joined by the likes of Gloria Estefan, fellow saxophonist Kenny G, Richard Marx, Stevie Wonder and the Christmas grandfather of them all Johnny Mathis. With a release date of September 30th, 2014 and a full winter tour to showcase the new material this is going to be an extremely busy time for Dave Koz in the run up to holidays this year.
