A Country Christmas Album On The Way From Gretchen Wilson

Could the ‘Redneck Woman’ be about to swap it for a ‘Red-Suited Woman’? Looks like it is going to happen for Christmas 2013 as Gretchen Wilson has said that the third of a trio of full-length releases from her this year will be festive album. Having just released her ‘Under The Covers’ project, where she tackled some of the great songs of our time in her own inimitable country style, it looks like Wilson’s Christmas album will be released this October. The album will be promoted by a special Christmas tour which will no doubt include Wilson’s two Christmas songs to date. ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’ was released as a standalone single in 2010 and her duet with Elvis on ‘Merry Christmas Baby’ featured on ‘Christmas Duets’, an album of contemporary female singers singing along with Elvis.
