2013 is really shaping up to be a bumper year for Christmas album releases by some of the world’s most famous female singers. To date Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson (not to mention 80’s legend Kim Wilde) have all confirmed that new Christmas albums are on the way and you can now add American singer-songwriter Jewel to the list. This will be Jewel Kilcher’s second festive LP following her enormously successful ‘Joy: A Holiday Collection’ which came out in 1999 and sold in excess of 1 million copies. ‘Let It Snow’ is that album’s follow up and not surprisingly features the song of the same name along with Jewel’s renditions of ‘Sleigh Ride’, ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Silver Bells’ and a duet with Vince Gill on Irving Berlin’s ‘White Christmas’. ‘Let It Snow’, which will also include a couple of originals ‘Blue Crystal Glow’ and ‘It’s Christmastime’, will be Jewel’s first record since her collection of children’s lullaby’s ‘The Merry Goes 'Round’ came out in the summer of 2011.
