As we've previously reported Kelly Clarkson is on the verge of releasing her first Christmas album ‘Wrapped In Red’. That was back in mid-May and in the interim more details about her festive project have emerged. The album has an official release date of Tuesday, October 29th and its first single will be an original called ‘Underneath The Tree’ which was produced by Greg Kurstin (who produced Clarkson’s ‘Stronger’) of the Bird & The Bee (who themselves recorded a wonderful version of ‘Carol of The Bells’). Other songs include rethreads of well-known standards/carols such as ‘White Christmas’, ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ and ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’. As well as the title track and single mentioned above ‘Wrapped In Red’ will have one other original called ‘Winter Dream’. One track we’re really looking forward to is Clarkson’s take on ‘Silent Night’ where she will be joined on vocals by country female stars Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood.
