Did You Hear What I Heard? There's A New Johnny Mathis Christmas Album On The Way!

He is fondly regarded as one of the great Christmas artists but unlike many of his contemporaries who have either passed away or stopped recording Johnny Mathis just keeps releasing yuletide albums. And his latest offering, ‘Sending You A Little Christmas’, is brim-full of potential classics with a long list of duets planned. Along with the likes of Natalie Cole on ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘I'll Be Home for Christmas / White Christmas’ with country stars Vince Gill and Amy Grant and ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’ with Susan Boyle; Mathis has recorded ‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)’ with the piano man himself Billy Joel. And it is this traditional favourite that opens the album, which has a release date of October 29th, 2013. Mathis’ last Christmas album, ‘The Christmas Album’, came out in 2002 and ‘Sending You A Little Christmas’ will be his 6th yuletide affair over a long tinsel flecked career that began way back in 1958 with ‘Merry Christmas’. For Johnny, Christmas truly mathis.
